... "I don't talk to foreigners"? UPDATE!

UPDATE!
OK so here is the update on the lady that called Riz a "Foreigner". By the way people often think Riz is Mexican (we live in an area with a large Mexican community)plus he was dressed in old painting clothes that day as he was painting our staircase..
So our neighbor called us to let us know she found out who the women was she was not a friend our neighbor told us but someone she sees once a year at our other neighbors birthday party (that neighbor just turned 105 on March first). Our neighbor said that she is an old eccentric wealthy Delandite. She told us that every year they both attend the birthday party and the women always corners her to talk about other people in the neighborhood. She said that this year we were the topic of conversation... LOL

Sometimes things happen that make you laugh and scratch you head at the same time. Saturday a week ago was one such moment. Riz and I were relaxing watching a little TV last Saturday afternoon when we heard the doorbell ring. It rang multiple times in a row. We both got up and went to the door when Riz opened the door there stood an elderly women. Without introducing herself she said in a harsh voice "do you know anything about Ann M@3&*?" Riz, looking puzzled said well she is my neighbor. The women again with a harsh tone said "Well I know she's your neighbor." Riz and I just stood there with our mouths open. she asked again "do you know anything about her, is she home?" Riz said well I have not talked to her today. The women was agitated and said why wont you tell me about her. Riz responded by saying Mame if you were my neighbor and a stranger came to my door asking about you I would not tell them anything about you either. She was indignant and said to him well I am not afraid of you. Riz at this point said to her maybe you should leave my property(insert Riz sarcasm and humor here). She started down the porch stopped looked back at Riz and said well I don't talk to foreigners... Riz stood there wondering what the heck just happened. He came in the house and we had a good laugh about it. We called our neighbor and told her what had happened. She did not know who the women was and was appalled that someone said that to us. She assured us that she would not associate with someone who would say such things, we know she would not of course. We sat there talking about this strange event and Riz said I don't know what I would have done if I would have had Sophia out there with me.. It does make you think what will we do when this kind of thing happens and we have her there with us....

Enjoy the music......I was planning on playing Depeche mode people are People with this post but e-snips will not cooperate today so hum it in your head...

On second thought. I need to be more honest with you. That would have blown my head off and I would have verbally gutted her there on the sidewalk. On my property of course.

Geez, doesn't sound like I have much a Christian spirit thing going. Sorry. I try. I also fail and have to try again. If it happens in front of my little one, I'll be as cool as I can be but all bets are off at that point...

peace, really...seriously. I've calmed down.

I don't even understand what she meant by that comment...weird?

OMG, I am still laughing at this story. I would have given anything to be there and see the look on Riz's face and hear the way he responded to her!!! LOL

Isn't eccentric just a fancy word for crazy? Hopefully she won't be visiting again anytime soon.

This whole story is absoluting hilarious! I love the Riz humor and sarcasm and I wish I could have been there to witness this in person. There is a great book about people like this old eccentric lady called "When Mama Makes Up Her Mind" by Bailey White and if you want a laugh out laoud experience...read this book!
