The Adventure

Today marks one month since our family grew by one. Sophia has added so much to our life and we can't wait to see what is to come in the months to come.....

We have to thank our friends Luke and Layla for taking time out of their busy schedule to come to the airport the night we came home from China. We have said before that Luke is our Tech Guru go to guy.

Luke Video taped the night we came home and made us the greatest video of all the excitement prior to us landing and then as we were greeted by all our family and friends. It was an exhausting but wonderful night. We wanted to take the time to thank everyone who came out to the airport to welcome Sophia home. It was a very special night and now thanks to Luke we will have it captured to share for years to come with all of you and of course with Sophia. The Music Luke Chose is very fitting it is called "The Adventure" from "Angels & Airwaves" Here are the lyrics and the Video that Luke made for us.. Enjoy... we sure did... Luke we can't thank you enough......

Click below it will take you to Youtube......

"The Adventure"

The Adventure
Angels & Airwaves

I wanna have the same last dream again
The one where I wake up and I'm alive
Just as the four walls close me within
My eyes are open up with pure sunlight
I'm the first to know
My dearest friends
Even if your hope has burned with time
Anything that is dead shall be re-grown
And your vicious pain, your warning sign
You will be fine
Hey oh here I am
And here we go
Life’s waiting to begin
Any type of love it will be showed
Like every single tree reach for the sky
If you're gonna fall
I'll let you know
That I will pick you up
Like you for I
I felt this thing
I can't replace
When everyone was working for this goal
Where all the children left without a trace
Only to come back as pure as gold
To recite this all
Hey oh here I am
And here we go
Life’s waiting to begin
Tonight
Hey oh here I am
And here we go
Life’s waiting to begin
Tonight
Hey oh here I am
And here we go
Life’s waiting to begin
I can not live
I can’t breathe
Unless you do this with me
I can not live
I can’t breathe
Unless you do this with me
I can not live
I can’t breathe
Unless you do this with me
I can not live
I can’t breathe
Unless you do this with me
I can not live
I can’t breathe
Unless you do this with me
I can not live
I can’t breathe
Unless you do this with me
Hey oh, here I am (do this with me)
Here we go
Life's waiting to begin (do this with me)
Hey oh, here I am (do this with me)
Here we go
Life's waiting to begin
Life's waiting to begin

Oh my gosh, I am sitting here in tears right now!! What a WONDERFUL video. I felt like I was right there with you!! We wish so badly that we could have been there when you came home. We're so happy that your friends made this video for you and that you shared it with all of us to see.

I have so many favorite parts:
*The first part of the video with the three of you walking towards everyone
*Riz holding Sophia in the air and giving her a kiss
*Grandpa (I'm guessing that was Grandpa.LOL) when he touched her head and gave her a kiss
*When you waved goodbye, turned around and Riz took your hand
*When Riz walked to everyone and each person gave her a kiss.

It's just WONDERFUL. The whole thing!! We can't wait until we get our turn to give Sophia a big "Welcome Home" kiss!! :)

Okay, I have to go watch it again...

Love you guys!!

Are you kidding me right now? Thanks for making me cry my eyes out at 11 pm...that was AWESOME! It brought me right back to our homecoming. I kept thinking...we were SO tired, so exhausted, so spent but then we got off the plane and saw ALL those people and those signs, balloons, and banners..ahhhhhhh It was the BEST!! I am so happy for you guys..it's been a long time coming but as I told you before, all the bumps and bruises are just a faint memory now that you have your sweet angel!! I want to know if that man with the white beard is Riz's dad...what a sweet man. I loved where he was hugging Riz and Sophia and then kissed her....priceless!!

Love Always, Kim (Hannah's mommy)

Hi, Susan
My name is Jill and I'm a longtime friend of Cheri's. I hope you don't mind that I posted a comment. I have been following your blog ever since all of you created them. I love reading your entries! That video was so beautiful and brought out lots of tears! :) I am amazed and in awe of all that each of you endure on this adoption road. But the reward is priceless! My husband and I are getting ready to do in-vitro next week, so it doesn't take much regarding babies to make me cry! LOL
Sophia is beautiful! God Bless your new family!

This was beautiful! I was there at the airport and this still made me cry. I had to watch it in two parts. How wonderful. Can I rent Luke to do that for us when we return home? Wow ! Luke ...awesome!

Thank you for sharing this. I too am still teary after watching it. My favorite three moments were when (grandpa, I assume) looked at Sophia and touched her face, (you can see the love pouring from his face), when Riz let everyone kiss Sophia and at the end when you walked off, you holding Sophia, and Riz grabbed your hand. Off you go, home, as a family....it was very touching.

You really have a beautiful family!!!

I can't believe it's been a month already!!

Hugs

Kim :)
